ABout Layo
Layo started doing handyman work in 2004 when a good friend and neighbor needed an extra pair of hands with several home-improvement projects he was doing on his multiple properties. As a person with a can-do attitude, it was a great gig for Layo. He realized very quickly that he loves working with his hands, solving problems and being creative.
After working for a few years on his neighbor's properties, Layo graduated from college and decided he would make a career doing this work he had grown to love. Layo started his own handyman business, and began expanding his work right away.
Over the last 18 years, Layo has done a wide variety of home-improvement projects for many people that require carpentry work, cement work, electrical work, plumbing, framing, hanging sheetrock, mudding and taping, and more. He has done complete basement projects from start to finish, complete bathroom remodels including detailed tile work, laid new patios, built decks and stairways, and more.
He believes that no job is too small and is happy to take on the smallest jobs, such as patching holes in walls, installing new outlets, light fixtures and switches, replacing exterior water spigots, fixing a clogged drain, and replacing fence posts, to name a few.
Living and primarily working in St. Paul, Layo has great respect for the craftsmanship and character of old homes. He has a lot of experience and knowledge working on older homes, understanding the uniqueness and challenges they can present, and considers this a special skill that he brings to his craft. His philosophy has always been to help people with their home-improvement needs by listening to their ideas and helping make their ideas come to life. Customer satisfaction is very important to Layo, and he works hard to make sure all of his clients are completely satisfied with the finished product.
Layo always looks forward to the next project—and working with you!
